A find in the local area of Washington DC, this box, once used as an emergency kit on trains or buses in the Washington DC proper has been turned into a Humidor.

The Capital Transit Company went out of business in 1933 so this box could be almost 100 years old. It still has a place on the side of the box to hold an emergency axe.

I gave it a new purpose, using hand cut 3/8 spanish cedar, I made a home for approx 100 cigars.
